The department provides excellent computing facilities with 80+ dual-core computers, equipped with the latest software platforms such as UNIX and Windows 11. All systems are connected through high-speed LAN and Wi-Fi, ensuring a technology-rich learning environment.

Students gain hands-on experience with a wide range of programming languages and development tools including C, C++, Java, Visual Studio, NetBeans, VB, .NET, Developer 2000, and backend technologies such as MS Access, SQL Server, and Oracle 10g. Through continuous skill enhancement and strong industry collaboration, the department prepares students for internships, placements, and professional excellence.

To inculcate the moral and value based learning among students, the department conducts various SDP and FDP which are essential for an individual to lead an accomplished life. Department of language

The Department of Languages at Oxford Business College works towards the vision of enhancing students’ linguistic competence, communication skills, and academic proficiency in English, Hindi, and Kannada. The department also aims to foster critical thinking, cultural awareness, gender sensitisation, and respect for diversity, thereby nurturing humane values and mutual respect among students from varied social, cultural, and educational backgrounds.

Oxford Business College caters to a diverse student population, including international students, first-generation learners, and students from different linguistic backgrounds. Many students come from regional or non-English mediums of instruction. The department plays a vital role in equipping students with the language skills necessary to meet the academic, professional, and global communication demands of the modern world.

The department conducts a range of classroom and activity-based learning practices focused on developing the four core language skills—Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking—across English, Hindi, and Kannada. English is emphasised as the primary language of academic instruction and professional communication, while Hindi and Kannada strengthen students’ multilingual competence, cultural understanding, and regional relevance. Students are encouraged to use their existing linguistic resources to support learning, including translating ideas and concepts from regional languages into English.
